Having a Guardian Angel at your side helps with these rides, but the same Angel mounted on a Bovine Friend …well that is just …Perfect.

I send Angel on ahead to sniff the air. It’s very important to make sure no hogs are in the slaughter line. 3 years ago I paid the price for this. Panicked porcine vibes struck me big time. How clearly I can remember the smell of pig wafting from the woods just before it happened.

Today the “coast is clear”…I sigh with relief and ride on.

 

I have always had respect for the two US Senators from Maine, Senator Collins and Senator King. Granted, I may not agree with many of their beliefs, but they do seem to represent the underserved in this State. Only today did I actually see for myself what a diverse population they represent…

With great concentration I held the metal pole and looked at the bar ahead. What could be so hard about this? I ran down the track as fast as I could, placed the pole in the block and launched myself into the air.

From my 10th grade gym teacher “ 3 1/2 feet and you hit the bar! D-! NEXT!”

The granite block was hewed to near perfection. Soon it would belong to a Cathedral in a Great City. With filthy hands beyond hope of ever being clean again he sat down to a feast of lobster.

It was garbage no one else would eat…
