There are two things guaranteed to increase my heart rate on these rides besides hills…I was “visited” by both today.

Last night was cold! I woke freezing at midnight, 2AM, 4AM, and finally got up at 5AM to start my day.

Men have always been fascinated by domes, structures which seem to rise against all odds high into the sky. People have been made famous by constructing some.

 However the most Majestic are not manmade and sometimes they are experienced best when reduced to an insignificant speck next to them.

You never know where you will end up on these rides.

The cold mist brings my soul back to life. My brothers and sisters rise next to me to reclaim for one day our home. I see their familiar shapes hover and then disappear into our sacred places.

Every day it is a struggle for her to climb the stairs. Step by step she wonders if her muscles will be strong enough to make it to the top. Will this be the day she falls?

She hopes not.

Sometimes it is good to fall off the face of the earth, the earth as it has become anyway. Rip Van Winkle seems to have discovered this 200 years ago.
